weird CFSO Behavior

I have an unleashed tune, I was logging with my sct x4 and when I coast I'll get AFR bank 1 to AFR upto 1.99 on the display but AFR for bank two doesn't exhibit this behavior at all, its like CFSO isn't enabled for bank 2.

anyone else experience this?

Also almost had a heart attack the other day, got on it pretty good in S mode, when i was cruising a few seconds after I was done my passing maneuver, i dropped the trans to D and had a huge drop in power and dash flashed me a solid wrench symbol, limped home like that and then when I restarted the car it was fine, however that was pretty worrisome, anyone else have a similar experience? I wont be flipping between those gears as freely as I used to before.

I wouldnt worry about it....its not related to switching gear positions...i think i know what it is but mot positive..i think its related to the way the torque tables are tuned...if it keeps happeneing i would let torrie know...a band aid fix is to increase "allowable wheel torque error"..that will make it so it wont go into limp mode but its not the right way.....cfso should happen on both banks....have a log?

I have a log in the x4 of the AFR thing, but not when it went into a limp mode, i need to pull it off and I can upload it.

Do you think I have some sort of mechanical issue w/ my car WRT the CFSO, is that even possible, or this is all in programming?

Also if/when the car does the limp mode again, is it OK to just shut car off and right back on?

I did have to wait a few extra weeks for my tune, because apparently SCT didn't even have the strategy for my PCM yet :|

If you go limp just shut your machine down and fire it back up.

Id really have to see it in a log to believe it....there really shouldnt be anything in the tune to allow only 1 bank to go into cfso.

What does WRT mean?

"with respect to"  Now what does CFSO mean???

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Coasting fuel shutoff...when u coast...injectors stop spraying fuel depending on load, speed, rpm, time spent coasting....this is why the so called hyper milers were dumb...people with automatic trans would shift to neutral to coast...it takes fuel to idle...no fuel to coast in a late model car with auto

Haha i thought wrt was when returning to lol

strategy is KHDL2H5

the AFR only showing the behavior on one bank is easily replicated for me so i can do that anytime even if my current log doesn't show it.

After peaking at this log I dont see it, maybe you will.  Where I did see it was on my x4 unit's screen gauge display AS I was driving.  Hopefully its just a bug and its happening in both banks.

I'm pretty noob at datalogging, is this right? Can I even make configuration changes to what it logs, is this done on the device?

Thanks for the help

I don't know "exactly" what allowable wheel torque error  does as far as the programming goes,  but i did have my traction control off and stability control off completely 100% at the time. When i climb into my car and start it up, before I drive off, I usually shift down to S, then I hold the traction button in for ~5sec and it shuts everything off for me.  I drove my 600rwhp 95 mustang as a daily driver and had way too much fun in that to deal with any sort of traction on an awd vehicle with half the HP and a good extra 1000lbs on its frame lol

Only tuners would know what im talking about....dont compare your old stangs traction feature...it was all through the brakes....the sho doesnt use any brakes..its all in drive by wire...can break anything by using the traction control.....and its the dbw causing your wrench

Delivered torque was different than expected torque...then u went limp

mystery solved on the fuel coasting setup, on my x4 for the tiny bottom left it was showing whatever afr for bank one, but on the bottom right I was using a similar thing but not the exact same, and whatever fuel reading i was using on the bottom right would keep showing somewhere around .98-1.01 or whatever.   SO major user error, changed bottom right field to be the same as bottom left and now I see CFSO behave the exact same on both banks!

PEBCAK :(

Much better user error than computer error!

So CSFO= Decel fuel cutoff...

I was like WTF are they talking about, lol...

Jbeez u were most likely looking at lambda...thats actually better anyway i think...then there is no possibility of error in the calculation when converting to air fuel ratio...because its dependent on the stoic point of fuel which can be a bit of an unknown due to mixing fuels if u do that or inconsitencies at the pump or areas of country having different blends.

Which is why the 02's read lambda not afr....doesnt matter what fuel u have in the car...if u are at .80 lambda ur fine....for example...if ur hung on afr and u are running e85 and ur afr is 11.5 id consider that pretty lean
