Oh I totally understand the reasoning for the S mode to have different transmission settings and I'm fine with that, I get it. Its that the power output/tq management and DBW pedal being different in the two modes that grinds my gears. I don't see why EVERYTHING has to change about the car. I think it adds unnecessary variables to the car's feel. I'm a cable throttle, clutch cable, hydraulic steering, and non traction control kinda guy. I'll be the nut behind the wheel that tells the car what to do, not the ECU. But I'm a minority of typical car buyers. I actually take my cars to tracks and toss them around.
One thing I do like about the paddle shifters is when I'm going down a steep grade I can click it back for a bit and the car knows when I don't need it in a lower gear any more and goes back to its "regularly planned show".
When I data log there is a huge difference in boost levels between Drive and Sport. Its easily felt and seen when logging. (5psi difference actually) But like I said. I'm in the infant stages of sending logs back/forth with Torrie. I'm on number 7 I think.
