First off, mods if this is in the wrong section please move it to the correct section. Thank you.

Now,  I ordered the mycal tuner from Livernois on Sunday night, had it on my possession by Wednesday afternoon and the tunes Friday morning. I also ordered the 160 thermostat through LMS, already had the 3 bar and SP534 plugs set at .30.  Had to go with the 91V8 because that's the best we can get at the pumps but also got a 93 for the track when I can mix in a few gallons of 100 octane.

I won't bore everyone with the install commentary, most of us have been there. Friday night it was dumping rain so I didn't get the chance to drive around. Fast forward to Saturday, went for a quick easy drive to make sure I didn't have any leaks and everything checked out great, so it was time to play.

Stopped, turned off advancetrack, launched at 1800 and holy hell did this tank move.  Slight spin out of the hole and a loud bark shifting into 2nd. Shut it down around 60 but I couldn't stop smiling. I just could not believe how hard the SHO pulled now.  Spent the next 1/4 tank of gas :) launching and going WOT from speeds varying from 10-60.

I love this car even more now and can't wait to head to the track next weekend.  The 3bar, thermostat and tune definitly took the car to the next level but I will want more next season.  Next up is catless downpipes, resonator/3rd cat delete and maybe a lil meth.

Already have a kill story of a G8 GT but I'll save it for another post.   >:D

I wish I could get true 93 here.  There is one station that sells 93 but it is just a blended 91/e15.

I only have 91 octane available in Cali. But I am now using the ACES IV additive which is allowing me to run the 93 tune.

Check some of the experiences here.....

Very interesting, I'll be keeping a close eye on that thread.  It would be nice to be able to run the 93 tune.

Glad to hear you enjoy the tune and all went well for you in the installation process!  I know I sound like a broken record on here, but it is truly amazing what these cars can do with our tune a few bolt ons to help further.  Friend of mine has basically the same combo as you with 93v8 3 bar tune.  First day he loaded the tune he was calling me like "OMG this thing is a rocket ship", while doing 140 +MPH on the interstate of course is not the best time to make a call.  Now he wants downpipes and methanol injection after catching that mod bug we all get.

Thanks again for your business and sharing your feedback as well!  Be sure to give us a shout if there is anything more we can do to help.

Thanks again guys for all help answering all my questions before and during the process.  I'm ecstatic with how the car turned out and can't wait to try the 93V8 tune...if I can find some good fuel.

Pretty much all refiners use ethanol to increase octane and keep the EPA happy.

The cooling and octane effect ethanol provides is amplified greatly when direct injected.

Here is a good read about direct injected E-85.

Fillerup and load that 93 tune!
