Since I live in a state that doesn't sell anything higher than 91 octane I've started pricing out buying a 55 gal drum of racing fuel so I'm able to run the 4x 3 bar tune from LMS at the track next time I go. Here are the 3 I'm looking at so far...

Sunoco 260GT (100oct unleaded) - $460/drum
Sunoco 260GT (104oct unleaded) - $530/drum
Sunoco 260GTX (98 octane oxygenated unleaded) - $530/drum

A co-worker who drag races suggested the 260GTX. I'm not a fuel expert by any means so I'm open to any suggestions and feedback from everyone. Would oxygenated gas be ok to use in an ecoboost engine?

I know LME uses VP racing fuel.  I asked about race gas, esp MS 109.  They said the car will adapt to he race gas.  But my issue is getting VP racing fuel, cause they want you to buy 25 gallons of it.  I would email LME about the which Sunoco race fuel to run.

Well pulled the trigger and ordered a 55 gal drum of Sunoco 260GT, oxygenated, 100 octane unleaded....excited to run the LMS 4x 3 bar tune and see if I can't get a lower et before the summers over :)

Vp street blaze is good as is the 260gt..most important for making sure it's compatible with the tune is the stoic point of the fuel..and those are pretty close to pump e10 gas...if ur race fuel is vastly different u will see fuel trims being of...it will increase more the further the race fuel is from the stoic of ur normal gas.

Now to take advantage of the octane u could up the boost and timing or a combo of the 2.....I love how people here say the adaptives will take care of it...there would be no need for tuning then...the adaptives have user defined limits and thresholds....it will only add spark to a point...and if u are running a true race fuel then those limits along with the base tables would need modified to take full advantage....otherwise race gas doesn't do much....it's like running 93 for a car designed and tuned for 87

Get a race gas tune from lme, just running a 93 4bar, you aren't taking full advantage of the power.

I have a race gas base map from unleashed and it takes easily .2 off my 1/4
