Just saw this on another forum, that someone I trying one of those plug in boost controllers.  He said isn't wasn't made specifically for the SHO, put was ask to try it.  Probably for the F150's.  Says his car is tuned.   I saw another vender was selling a module for the F150's and says not to use with tuners.  I'm afraid something bad is going to happen with these.  From what I have read all they do is modify the boost signal to the computer.  What do you guys think.

I believe this was the JMS controller, right?  BoostMax or something?  Already discussed a while ago, I think Torrie had brought it up.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Whoops sorry, didn't mean to put another thread about this.

Meet the "Turbo Transformer", review, dyno, and datalogs from Focusst.org

Turned out to be quite an interesting thread!

Product page

Deemed better than the Boostmax...(Apparently, that doesn't say much)

New and improved version!

No trace of your shenanigans....

Adjustable boost on the fly as well....

I think a device like this is probably not for most .....However, it is an interesting product for those nervous about their warranty and flash counts ...

No 3.5 support yet.

Seems like the +/-7 psi is a little low. Would need double the psi just for stock boost levels. If they made it for the 3.5 that is.
13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.
15' F150 Lariat Sport, all the options, 3.5L Eco. (fiancée ride.)
13' GTCS, will be missed.

With stock as the baseline, +7 seems like plenty and way farther than I'd push it without a proper tune.
