The coolant temp gauge on torque has recently stopped working. Every once in a while it will update, but it isn't instantaneous like all the others, it was working fine just the other day. Is it my adapter? I've tried to restart the phone, repair the adapter, still doesn't work

Could be the adapter if it is a generic ELM adapter and you have a long list of parameters you are monitoring simultaneously.  What is your setup?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Have you tried deleting the gauge from your current setup then adding it back?

I've tried re-adding it and deleted some gauges to relieve some stress on the adapter. Still doesn't work. It updates periodically. I have a generic elm adapter but it has worked flawlessly for the past year, the coolant temp just stopped working yesterday.

Have you tried removing the ELM adapter, giving it about 30 seconds, then reinserting into the OBD socket?  Usually I do this when I have pairing issues between the adapter and Torque Pro.  No data collection issues yet in the last year with OBDLink MX (bluetooth), monitoring almost 30 parameters.

Unlikely that the car's sensor is actually faulty, but someone has to have that happen first!

Does your gauge on the OEM cluster still work?

Gray Brick

I have the exact same issue.

I usually exit Torque and when I go back in it works for a little while.

My guess is the issue lies with Torque or the adapter.

My money is on the adapter.....have you examined the contacts for any kind of corrosion?
