Exhaust - explain it to me like I am 5 years old

I have a 2010 SHO. Can someone explain the exhaust system to me. I'm basically looking for what the components are from turbo back. I keep hearing "3rd cat" when reading these threads. I had no idea there were 3 cats!!  :idea:

This should help. The 3rd cat is before the middle piece that looks like a small muffler (resonator) and after the flanges.

This is a pic of my oem setup after i removed everything,the 3rd cat is highlighted in red,and the other piece is the resonator,which looks like a muffler,hope this helps.  Z
