Noticed when I was checking.for. coolant.leak, oil on valve cover. Pull intake.hose off throttle body, lots of oil in throttle body and.noise maker. Notice while.car was idling there was an intermittent rattle. Pulled dipstick, oil covered dipstick, wiped off, oil.levels fine. Do you guys think engine.damaged by detonation, blow by? Or a blown turbo?

I might suggest PCV letting oil into the intake... Food for thought.  The two areas may have very different things causing oil to be found.  In example, could be a gasket failure and PCV.  Never know...

Bet you'll find some in the intercooler/CAC as well!  x2 on the PCV system being the culprit.  The intermittent rattle may be nothing, it may be the oil filter you are using (non-Motorcraft?), or a stretched timing chain.  Change to a low-volatility full synthetic oil to see if it helps decrease the oil in the TB/intake.  If you can reproduce the rattle, can you make a video of it?  What it sounds like on the F150:

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

While running, intermittently. PCV system have a check valve on these? Removed hose from valve cover/ intake. Had flow both ways

RagingPenguin

Found other PVC breather. Check valve is well there, front turbo pipe has very light film, rear pipe by intercooler flex pipe was the same. No external leaks. No funny smoke. Runs normal. Just oil in throttle body. Only thing different is its been driven 15 hours over the last two days, about 4 hours in rain.

RagingPenguin

Filter is kosher also.

Was thinking if the CAC has never been cleaned, is it possible my spirited driving today through the twisty blew five years of crap up?

ZSHO

Is there any black/blue smoke from exhaust, any black soot inside the tailpipes?

Squeaky clean, bit think rain cleaned it all out. Usually some soot if I recall.
No smoke what so ever.

Maybe look for simpler reasons like loose bellypan/missing fasteners/dropped nuts/bolts.  Maybe some road debris got stuck and resonates on occasion.  Probably not a catalyst death rattle.  Check the underside of the car, basically.

Nothing seems out of sorts. Car is running good. Sight of that oil made me jump. Kicker was I was in the mountains, 12 hours from home plate with no cell service (posted here that night).
Is the UPR catch can a worth while install? I know I'm flushing my CAC as soon as I can!

SHOdded

No idea on the UPR catch can effectiveness.  In theory, catch cans should be worthwhile, but they really need a great mounting location to be effective.  JimiJak found one in the driver side fender area on the XSport.  Space is a little tighter on the SHO, so you'd have to investigate.

I'm sure you've seen the HowTo on emptying the CAC (if you need it) ...

Still on my plate to do the CAC clean up and a catch can. Car still is running perfect.
Also found my low RPM rattle, atleast so far I've found it. There was line touching the firewall and vibrating against it. Gave it a gentle bend away. So far the low RPM rattle while lightly accelerating is gone, haven't tested my WOT noises yet. Friend from ford suggested taking a look at the PCV and the oil separator (Not sure if that's what it was, he referred to the black box on side of motor closest to firewall by throttle body) So I'll investigate that also.
Also made it pretty clear that if the car was knocking even a little bit it would throw a code.

Had a misfire code for cylinder six, turns out I was a bit careless with my Di-electric goo and used to much. Cleaned the plug and COP and no code anymore.

All good updates so far :), glad to hear it!  Did you want to put up a pic of the engine with a markup of the black box you are referring to?

Black box, took it off, took a look. Seemed fine, air only moved one way, no excess oil.

All the oil I could collect from CAC, Still not to sure where the oil is coming from in my intake. But as mentioned before, all the turbo lines are clean and car isn't loosing oil

Oil recovery method. Worked great. Didn't blow up,

And what maybe the noise my car makes, as I mentioned it only occurs after a shift, which drops RPM, after talking to the ford service manager he had mentioned it was coming from the fuel lines that supply fuel from the pump.. So what I'm thinking is, is this guy starts hammering on the metal. Going to either secure it or wrap the metal tab to prevent the noise.
Will keep you guys informed!
