2016 News - Anyone have any?

I know that Ford is rumored to be doing a re-design of the Taurus for 2016 (a stretched Fusion is likely). There have been a couple reported spyshots released but nothing else. Does ANYONE have any reliable info on this? I am jonsing a new Mustang but am REALLY loving my full sized SHO and would like to see what is coming up.....

At the Auto Show today in Ford's area they had all of their ecoboost motors in a line on display....no 3.5 SHO motor. Went from the 2.7 to the truck 3.5.

We won't get another 3.5... 
13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.
15' F150 Lariat Sport, all the options, 3.5L Eco. (fiancée ride.)
13' GTCS, will be missed.

Taking a wild guess but I'm thinking the 2016 SHO(IF THEY MAKE ONE) will have the 3.7 with the TT's.
-2013 SHO PP with Unleashed 3 bar tune, CAI, plugs, thermostat, off road downpipes and Corsa exhaust. Best time to date is 12.26@112.47mph.
-1990 5.0 LX(original owner) 349 BOSS block, Twisted Wedge heads, Holley intake, Vortech Si trim. Made 636hp to the wheels with a street tune.

You mean 2.7 right? Not sure there is a transverse version of that out - though they could make one. With the other two (marginally) US manufacturers putting out big powerful sedans I can't believe Ford would abandon the market.

Dodge removed the Charger R/T AWD.  Hopefully the SHO still represents the domestics for performance AWD sedans.  Can't just leave it to Acura, BMW, Infiniti, Mercedes, and Audi.

I don't get what you saying, but there is no 3.7TT motor.  Just a NA 3.7.  Unless you think the 3.7 will get TT, but I doubt that very seriously since they have even stayed 3.5 for the GT.

Living in Dearborn I actually spotted a next gen Taurus/MKS sporting a stretched Fusion frame. It was literally a longer Fusion, same rear end.

I'm eager to see the front, based on the shape so far, I'm not a fan. The rear might look nice. Also the new 9 speed and the gear selector inside look nice. Thank you for the link.

I noticed BOTH a hood scoop AND hood vents.

Things that make you go hhhmmmmm.......

As far as the exhaust, & hell, the car overall.....
Take a gander at the 2015 Lincoln MKZ and I betcha some of the styling/design cues are deriving from that.

Interesting stuff for sure. :ok:
