Hello guys,
been lingering around for awhile and seeing what some have done to their sho's, lots of detailed information.
Currently own a 2013 ford explorer sport and love it. Have owned it for over 1.5 years and no troubles at all. All stock, however, that may change from seeing what others have done, just hate to mess with warranty issues.
Ive been a member on the modified explorers, but that forum just keeps getting worse with constant complaining.
Anyway, just checking in and hope to learn more from ecoboost enthusiasts.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

Hanging around here to much will definitely get you in the mod mood....lol

We are looking at a 13 Xsport for the wife. Maybe this spring when the price is more negotiable after winter.

Throw some pics up...we all enjoy a little eye candy.

Welcome. I'm assuming you are talking about the explorer forum? Me and probably any knowledgable guys left that forum a long time ago. The moderator for the "modified" section doesn't even believe in mods. I could go on all day. Point is you made a great decision coming here. This is a drama free forum so you may need a minute to get used to it after coming from that poisonous environment

I had a 2006 mb c230 sport before the xsport so it was definitely a big change for me. Sure miss that car.

I remember seeing you over on that forum. Looks like you jumped ship quickly, and correct the explorer forum Im sure some will start trickling over. And yes, there are a few reasons why i had to leave that place, including the moderator.
I have seen this forum awhile ago but just haven't made an effort. Once i saw a post regarding the mdesign cai that a member made, thats when i made my way here.
Trying to gather some tips from everyone including tuning the sport which is the best bang for the buck

Right now the best options are Unleashed and Livernois, but Ford Racing and HpTuners will be joining the scene soon. I haven't seen the explorer listed on ford racing so we're all kind of speculating that 3.5 will be supported. IMO of you have not tuned yet, I would highly suggest waiting a little bit longer till those two join the scene. Being able to tune and still maintain warranty through ford racing is a huge perk in itself. However, I myself tuned with Livernois and I have the down pipes and exhaust and I do love it. I tried returning to stock a few times and couldn't even stand it. It is a nice difference for sure. If you decide to go with the mdesign people seem to like them, or myself and others would be happy to sell our Airaids for a lot cheaper than retail, I've actually got 2. Again welcome, hope to see you around
