I've been toying with the idea of parting ways with the SHO for a few months now. The lack of aftermarket support is starting to get to me, and I am wanting something that I can do SCCA stuff with. And lord do I miss a manual... Lol. Just wondering if anyone else here was thinking about picking up one of the newer mustangs. Should have oodles of aftermarket support, and I'm sure that Torrie will jump on board to tune them. Nobody has one in my area to test drive :(

Just saw a completely stock one running high 13's at the track the other day(2.3). For it just coming out they already have a ton of stuff showing up for it too.

I too very badly miss a manual trans. Can't believe I bought an auto. I knew better. It's also just too large of a car for my tastes.

That said, I'm going to suck it up for now. I enjoy the SHO otherwise. Great, comfortable car. And after the tune, it's perfect for me. So lack of support isn't an issue.

But a Mustang?! Really? You lose all of your exclusivity.

I've seen a few Chevy SSs around and what can I say? Yummy.

Although the SS is a very nice car, I would compare it more to the SHO than something I could throw around in corners. I havent owned a fast RWD car before so it something I want to experience. I'll be getting a company vehicle and the reason I got the SHO to begin with is going out the window. And I can't help but miss taking corners like the stig. Lol

I REALLY want a new Mustang - I have had 3 over the years and the SHO is my first car other than a mustang. Traded in my last GT on an F150 that I drove for 7 yrs before the SHO. While do love the SHO I am just a Mustang guy at heart. Can't wait to see what they do for the GT350. Will still be here with the XSPort but the SHO may get traded once this winters snow is gone.

Heard through the grapevine that the new GT350 is breaking records and has some cool body features.

So the new GT350 is a ?????-killer?  Any word on when pics/specs might be "leaked"?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

At a certain event, above mentioned comments came with a, "they're keeping real quiet about it and couldn't get any more info". This from a huge mustang fan that seemed quite excited about it. Sounds like leaks will be made when they're fully satisfied with the "margins"!!!

We will see, as these talks seem to come up quite often in the time leading up to the introduction of a new performance car.

What did it beat, Boss LS or Z28?  Can it run within a freight train of a 14 GT500 on the interstate?

The new GT w/PP is very comparable to the BOSS, the GT350 is rumored to have a 5.2L V8 at around 600hp....mmmmmm tasty. Have been some spy shots, vids of it on the nurburgring. Me want!!!!!!

Timeless

I came from a 2011 GT to the SHO for reasons of comfort and room.

I miss the manual GT and taking it around the road course close to me (CMP) http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com/

I'm toying with getting a dedicated race car versus going back to a new GT with performance pack.

Those new 2015s look awfully nice.
