If this is in the wrong forum, my bad. I'm really excited about this.

So today I went to a local Porche car show with the lady friend and her brother. As I was walking around I saw a Griot's Vendor/Tent.... with a Kona Blue SHO, we all know this is nothing be great news for me.... bad news for my wallet. So, long story short, I tell the guy "I've had my eye out on your 6" orbital kit, tell me more about it" (this is the kit I was talking about on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Griots-Garage-11620Z-Machine-Polish/dp/B009XR5KF6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412467869&sr=8-1&keywords=griots+11620z)

So he gives me a quick run down and of course i'm interested. Then he tells me "hows this sound, today anything at this tent is 10% off and we have a special price on the kit, only $139.99. Aka, after tax, the kit ran me $135!!!! Needless to say, I'm now a proud owner of a 6" orbital from Griot's!

If anyone has any advice to share, please do! The only gripe I have so far is that I don't have 2-3 polishing pads.... it only came with one and recommends 2-3 each time I polish.... wtf!

Awesome!  Enjoy spending even MORE time on your SHO heh heh :D  Yeah, the SHO is a big one!  What kind of polishing pad did it come with?  I suppose you could clean out the pad between panels, dry it, and re-use.  But the more you have on hand, the faster you get it done.

Do they still have a lifetime free replacement on their units?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Yeah it was direct from them and I found out they have a "kiosk" so to speak at a dealership about 8 min from my place. I have one red and one orange pad at the moment. I'm looking at buying a pack of 3 orange pads on amazon for polishing.  I'm seeing they have some other pads though for darker color paint... so i'm doing my research on their other products tonight. Figure i have some wiggle room since i got $75 off!

100% lifetime guarantee one the orbital!

BTW, I've always done everything by hand.... So this is a huge step for me. I also found the Griot's DVD Tutorial on the Orbital on YouTube, which is helping a lot!

I have the same kit.  Fantastic products.  I would recommend watching the DVD and reading the manual.  All information is very helpful.  Also there is a local car shop that sells their products.  Sometimes they have work shops on how use the buffer and they demonstrate many of the products.  I would check to see if there are any dealers close to your that have demo days.

That's a good price. I bought the exact kit off of an Amazon lightning deal a year or two ago for $135 shipped. So, I'd day you dun well.
