I have been looking around for awhile to see what the actual power and torque gains are from LMS mycal tunes. I have seen estimates including 4dr's and the showroom guys at LMS of 30-100 hp. I was wondering on a SHO what the gains are from 93 octane tune alone, and 93 octane with 160 tstat and 3 bar. Anyone have any data for this? At the wheels, crank, or both? I have been running just the 93 tune for awhile and the car keeps up fairly well with my dad's M6 so I'm expecting towards the upper end of that range.

SO MANY VARIABLES..... :)
You can't quantify it other than a range for any tune, sorry.

variables being IAT's, fuel quality, How dirty your valves are;

Every car acts different. A member on here ran a 12.66 with a livernois 3 bar tune, but other members have ran 12.9-13.2's and there is a couple running the same tune (same octane, same tune)

An once the car is tuned, you will still see power variables, sometimes substantial, based on environmental factors. Take a peek at the results from my trip to the strip last night.

You really have to put the car on the DYNO for proven results,gains,if you want a straight answer considering all the variables mentioned and taken into prospective,a V8,3-BAR 160stat,LMS tune my speculation would be between 30-40 hp from my experience.

Lots of variables as all have said.... Downpipes alone are worth 17 whp on the dyno on my car.  So I think the tune alone is worth 50 or so whp under most conditions with a warm block.  I'm betting the combo the OP listed is worth 60- 90 whp (about 75- 100 chp). The major variables are driving style/ECM memory, fuel and ambient weather.
