Interesting reading.  Thanks for your work.  I've only hit high 12's twice, but constant low 13's.  Been pondering what else to do the modded stock box I am using now.  Looks like I'll be going to Airaid soon.

Thats a major motivator in doing. If I gain 2 10th's of a second in doing this could put very very close to 11's. And if ideal conditions can be had, just maybe a 11. Now that would be the icing on the cake!

I was going though my slips for the last year. For those of you clinging on to your K&N Typhoon (or other CAI like it), here is the time slip data from May 10th of this year. Same mods on the car. The only difference was, running the K&N Typhoon and DA it was -76. That's right negative 76, the runs that I did the Airaid test was at 1700 DA.

So there you have it. If I was running the Modded Airaid that day, in theory I should have been able to get a low 12.5. My best run of that night was 12.737.

Awesome, cause I wont purchase one until they fix the issue. I'm not going to buy something I have to modify to make work correctly.

I'd be even happier if they punched a whole in the side of the box and added a flex pipe to go into the wheel well. I'd also understand a higher price if they did that.


I thoroughly plan on dynoing the typhoon so I can invoke their performance guarantee. A $212.00  paperweight is unacceptable.
