I am joining because I've had a couple Ecoboosts for a while, and recently ordered some mods.  I live in Alaska and somehow managed to purchase two Ecoboosts without really knowing how much they could modified.

Welcome glad you joined.   How long have you had your rides?

Had the MKS for 2 and the F-150 for 3.  I never really drive the MKS and its warranty expires in 2016, so I won't mess with that.  The warranty on my truck is pretty much toast.  I don't plan on getting crazy with the tuning.  I've been really disappointed with the MPG I get with it, so I figured I might as well add some HP and beat on it.

Welcome!   I have some great memories of visiting my aunt in Anchorage a couple times when I was in middle/high school. .  Remember fishing (snagging?) for salmon at 2am on the 4th of July.

Which tuner and mods  are you going with on your 150?  Amazing how fast those trucks can be for little money.   Might get one with the heavy tow package in a few years to tow a toy TT.

At this time, the daytime in Alaska is quite long right?  More time to get the mods done A tune has helped folks net some mpg gains on many occasions, maybe will do the same for the f150?

I have ordered an SCT X4 from Stage3Motorsports.  I plan to use the 87 and 89 performance tunes because I can only get 87-88.5-90 octane gas in Anchorage. I have no idea how it will all work out. I think I'm going to upgrade the plugs first to see if I can ever get the advertised MPG with properly gapped plugs, and a CAI. I was one of the lucky people that get 12.4 MPG in town.  For the life of my truck I've averaged 14, but I do get from 20-25 with cruise control on the highway.  I guess I figured since my MPG in town was so bad, and since Ford gives absolutely zero f---s about it, that I might as well tune it up as much as I can.  I'll let everyone know how bad I screw it up after some mods.
