So I just had my downpipes installed and had LMS adjust the tune as needed. Very impressed with the overall difference from the previous modifications especially when it comes to the increase sound. The vehicle just seems a little more turned on now at all times and is very responsive to throttle inputs. Hoping I can get this thing to the track with good weather and burn out a 12.5x
The only downside is that I am hitting a brick wall with what I can do for additional modifications with a vehicle that is still under warranty.

Awesome, I plan to go the same route.  Too bad only 91 octane around me though :(

What does it sound like?  I think stock it has a nice growl to it, especially in sport mode.

When will you get to the track?

The sound is so much more impactful than the stock setup which is almost none existent. It is just mildly aggressive without being overly raspy.
Probably will only get to the track in July, with the best results coming later the fall on track days in late October.

To the other member concerned about warranty, just the DP alone will unfortunetly void the warranty alone cause i am in the same ballpark, just make sure to return to stock before dealer visit,I have the corsa xhaust which eliminates the 3rd cat and gives it more air flow

Warranty coverage is not voided because of the install of downpipes. It will all depend on your relationship with your local dealer

Our cars will be almost identical after I load the 3 BAR V8 this weekend. It will be interesting to see what kind of times we can actually achieve in the 1/4 mile.

I'm going to wait till at least late summer or fall to find out, high humidity and 90+ temps are here until at least September down this way. I'm hoping for 12.6, maybe better depending on how cool the temps are.

The two cars are just about the same in every way. Let's both hope for great times once the temperatures get a whole lot cooler.

I'm trying to figure out if doing a catback would even do these sets ups any good.  Or if I can just get away with new down pipes.

Warranties tend not to get voided due to mods. Only claims are affected. If you have a downpipe and you blow the turbo seals then they will not honor that claim and you will be paying for new seals. If you have a downpipe and your Ford Sync starts acting up then your warranty will cover that as the downpipes don not affect the normal operation of the Sync system.

That is what is suppose to happen. Any dealer can be a d&*# and try to pull one on you but most dealers I have seen will work with you and not against you.

Based on my experience of being a customer and working in the car industry for 13yrs here in Canada. ;)

Every mod you have installed in your vehicle including DTC codes are stored and controlled by the ECU and the related to the ECM,thats why we return our cars back to stock before going to the dealer, with my case i have quite a few mods and an extended 7 year warranty, all i need is to run in to a shop forman having a bad day, especially now with all the recalls and piled up the *** with cars coming in for recalls,LOL.

It is my understanding that if tunes are done correctly and built in failsafes are not subverted DTC codes aren't really an issue.  Its when tuners start disabling things that those issues arise.
