Burnt oil smell

After I took the SHO to get oil  changed I noticed a burnt oil smell . I can smell when it's on and mainly around mid car. Just weird how it started smelling after oil change. I'm really concerned because I had read a thread where someone  had the burnt oil smell and it was a turbo that was leaking oil  from seal.  Any ideas ?

Its pretty easy to Get oil on the front downpipe when your remove the filter. They probably got a little on it and its just burning off.

I really hope it's that . I'm going to take it to my friends shop so he can inspect it .

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

The bad turbo seal was my car...just had it taken care of.  It very well could just be left over oil as mentioned especially if you just changed it.  The oil smell on mine was very strong and would fill the garage for some time after parked the car.  You could easily check the turbo and the outlet pipe while under the car to see if it is actually leaking.  It could also just be the oil line seal (there is a TSB) which is a whole lot less dramatic (and less expensive if you are out of warranty) then the entire turbo.
