Hey guys, for those of you that own the Corsa catback, particularly without cats... is it raspy in the midrange?

I want the cb, but scared of rasp because of my current setup. I had magnaflow midmuffler x and dynomax axleback and it sounded good just quiet. Well in my search of increased volume and turbo whistle I went to a bare x and now its raspy in the 2500-2800 range.

Now im just looking to replace the whole cb... I love the volume and whistle of the corsa, esp after hearing Crash's vids. But to my knowledge he has catted dp's.

So... question is with o/r dp's is the Corsa raspy. Id hate to spend 1200 and dislike it.

Its either this or the Stainless Works with the midmuffler and upgraded to S-tube mufflers.

Hmm; I love how mine sounds--with DP's it's going to sound even more aggressive.

I don't regret the pricetag; and honestly go look at www.autoplicity.com; I got my Corsa for $1000 shipped.

They offer 20% shipping discount to any new subscriber.

It's not raspy at all.

It maybe myself, as far just getting use to it. When the car is cold it pretty obnoxious, but when it warms up its much better.

^ Your car sounds fantastic!
The idle whistle is intoxicating

id think itd be even more so without the cats absorbing some of it

You have it with catless dp's?

Yea thats what im worried about... its obvious from my experience the midmuffler absorbs the raspy tones.
Im thinking cats prob do some as well, at least to some extent.

Maybe the design of the rsc muffler over a normal perforated straight thru really does work for drone and rasp... hmmmm
