The day it arrived at Rusty Eck.

With my work vehicle (3.7L Interceptor)

The day after we picked it up from the dealership.

22.2 mpg's on a 120 mile trip a couple weeks ago on the Interstate running 75mph.

2014 Ruby Red Explorer Sport

Definitely a headturner!  What do you think of the power vs comfort so far?  Have you found your mpg's improving over time?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Your Explorer is very sharp...only question is don't you get just a bit bored driving the same vehicle at both home and work...I know I always wanted something different then what I drove at work...just wanted to be in something different after spending all day in the "company" car.

I'm so jealous of all you Explorer owners..... as I am of the F150 owner's as well.

I really dig 'em, and I wish my better half would come around to liking them as well.

With nearly a 100K on her SUV, we're on the front end of contemplating replacement, but she's been quick to state she doesn't like either of them.

Frustrating :banghead:

Oh well, I'll continue living vicariously through all 'ya on those models I suppose.

So in other words, the pics are much appreciated. Looks sharp! :ok:

The Interceptor has the 3.7 n/a.  It runs pretty decent but lacks the low end torque of the Sport.  It has a column shifter as the console has our radios and controls for lights/siren.  It has 18in wheels and a bench seat in the back(no 3rd row).  The instrument cluster is analog vs the 2 displays and the speedometer on the sport.  This one is a 2013 and we just got a 2014 about 6 months ago.

The sport has 402a, moonroof, 2nd row buckets, tow package, adaptive cruise, and is working out really well so far with our 3 kids and us.  Right now it is averaging 18.2 mpg(mostly city driving).  I might do a Livernois tune after the warranty is gone.
