Talked with George last week and the system is just about complete.  I should have my car back by the end of this week.  After tweaking with different mufflers, they came up with a good combo.  They should have a video of it out this week.

Its out!

Ford Taurus SHO EcoBoost Exhaust and Downpipe

Downpipes $640 and catback $1050

The sound is much better than I hoped for.  It has a nice rumble without being ricey or droning.

Is the $640 for cat or catless?

I noticed 60mph is 7dB louder, that's 2.3 TIMES as much sound inside the car at 60MPH. That's a huge change in noise in the cabin. I would guess quite a bit of drone at 60mph cruising?

BTW, it's great to see more parts being made for the cars!!!

I believe its 640 offroad and 790 for high flow cat downpipes.

I thought SW did a great job with the video comparing the sounds.  Noise is very subjective.  The car is not loud to me at any speed.  You do hear the exhaust when cruising but not droning.  I consider droning to be a pitch that bothers your ears.  This exhaust does not do that to me at all.  Its just enough that you know you have an aftermarket exhaust but not obnoxious.  My wife is extremely picky with exhausts (have had 3 different exhausts on her car already) and she gave this exhaust the thumbs up.

The price alone is enough to put this system on top of my future mod list. What's more: x-pipe, flanged connections and mid-pipe with resonator. Problem is I need to find a canadian distributor/re-seller...

Why not drive down to a dealer in the US and save the tariff and taxes. :)

Steeda.ca do sell Stainless Works. I just received a quote from them:
Catted Downpipe: 1003.99 CAN$ (Part #TA10ECODPCAT)
Cat back exhaust: 1250.99 CAN$ (Part #TA10ECOCB)
Prices include shipping and handling, no custom fees to pay. 2254.98 CAN$ total. On Stainless Works website, with shipping it's 2097.33 US$ (~2127 CAN$) but doesn't include custom fees, which can be anything from 0 to 30% (500$ in this case).

Or I find a US dealer near the border as 4DRHTRD suggested and drive 2-3 hours to get it...

Food for thought...

Very distinctive sounding pipes.  Can really hear the turbos.  Great pricing :D

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Wow, this is about as "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!" as it gets, this is exactly what I was looking for. I've got the Dynomax axle-back on my MKS right now and it's just so . . . quiet. I know some people are fine with that but I'm 32 with no wife or girlfriend to worry about at the moment and while I don't want something obnoxious, I do want something more noticeable than the Dynomax is. From the video and your description, the exhaust seems comparable to what I had on my Lincoln LS, it was a Magnaflow setup that had just enough growl at start-up and at cruise speeds to let the world know you weren't stock, and if you hammered on it, then it sounded really nice. It was the same as what you describe in terms of "droning" too, it was there because it was louder but it wasn't annoying.

Between this exhaust and the downpipe they offer, I'm gonna have to be doing some business with Stainless Works in the near future.
