Just recently purchased a black 2011 SHO. It is very fun to drive :) . Prior to the SHO I had a 2006 Impala SS. Have to say that the SHO doesn't make me miss the Impala even though I had made it run 13.1 . I know this new bad boy will be running faster than that with supporting mods. Well glad to be here and very anxious to learn and share info. THANKS

Welcome.  I went from a 2008 Grand Prix GXP to the 2011 SHO so I know how you feel.  I do miss the V8 sound with the Magnaflow I had on but the way the SHO just pulls and pulls makes up for it.  That and all of the creature comforts plus the AWD in a nasty winter have made me forget all about the GXP.
2017 Lincoln MKZ 3.0tt with LMS tune

2014 SHO 402a PP 20" flower wheels. LME  tune, 3 bar MAP, LED Puddle Lights and LED DRL's from Drive Bright, tinted head and tail lights, gloss black vinyl wrapped all chrome with custom chrome SHO emblems front and rear. SOLD

What part of south TX?... I was in Pharr for a couple of years and born near Austin.

Wow, you're right there in the Rio Grande Valley just up the road from Pharr!  Way cool!... I lived in Kennedale when I was in school in Ft. Worth.

2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!
