No
LMS will update your tunes at no charge whenever there are updates on their end or yours.
You just have to send them all your data again like you did the first time.

That's is what they told me anyway...

Cool, thanks!

Should I just shell out the extra 200 and go for the mycal? I imagine it being a whole lot more user friendly.

I see a lot of you like to run 91 for traveling, makes a whole lotta sense to me, locally I can run 93 for sure though, would they throw both on there?

For me, the base MyCal is fine.  I also run Torque so I pretty much have all I need.  They sent me 91 and 93 files.  When you send them your ECU info, just tell them what you want.  They should give you at least three tune files of whatever you want.  I have 4/91, 4/93 and 4+/93. That's all I really need right now.

With my tuner for 14 xsport I got 4 plus stock.
I have the stock, 89 Performance, 91 Performance, 93 Performance and 93-high boost Performance.
The 93-high boost will be replaced with XV1 whenever that is released...

Tune is installed, i put in the 93 normal tune for now. But i get some not so friendly wheelhop on the 1-2 shift now. It just grabs and goes off the line but that 1-2 is a bit nasty.
Wonder if i go to the 93 hi boost if it will just spin a bit instead.

Does anyone know if you need a CAI in conjunction with a tune?  I'm doing my mods in phases and I was planning on just doing a K&N drop in.
13 Platinum White, PP, 402A, Moonroof, Multi-contour seats, and Navigation.  MODS - LMS 93 octane 3bar tune, 160 LMS thermostat, Airaid CAI, 15% tint, interior LED upgrade, LED puddle lights, Nurburgring 20" Gloss Black Powercoated Rims, H&R springs, Corsa catback exhaust, LMS catted downpipes

Best time 1/4 mile 12.588 sec @ 109.44 mph

I was told you could run the 93 performance tune on stock vehicle..
The plugs, Tstat, intake are all just recommended for better performance..

But with XV1, you will have to run the 3bar map...

They aren't cooler but you should already have the SP534's in there.  They'll be fine.  You may want to make sure they are gapped at 30.

I am a 69 year old semi retired automotive fuel systems engineer.
Does anyone know the Static flow rate on the OEM injectors.
Is the .55BSFC figure correct for these direct injection engines?
Ordered the 2013 Tuner from Livernois today.
As I understand this is a stage 4 tune only.
My 2013 SHO is stock with the OEM performance Package.
Does anyone have experience with this tune on a 2013 SHO with the PP?
Do I need to get the OEM cal info, send it to them & then download the correct tune to the SCT unit?
Thanks in advance for any information regarding my questions above.

Here's a few of your answers:

•Be sure to go a heat range lower on your spark plugs with the LMS tune and reduce the gap to 0.30 (OEM is 0.35-0.38)
•Changing to a 170 degree thermostat is also recommended
•Plenty of folks here with PP SHO... including 13's ... No real problems reported running it stock or with mods.
•The current LMS tune is the equivalent of their 4+  with options for 91 or 93 octane. A description is on the LMS site.
•LMS will need the strategy code.  The instructons to obtain it using the MyCal tuner are here: http://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php?topic=1807.msg23660#msg23660
•LMS no longer uses SCT for the '13+ SHO and only Mycal is available from them.  Compatibility of the tunes with SCT will have to come from them or someone else as I'm ignorant of  this.  Unleashed offers SCT devices and tunes for the SHO. Others can weigh in with opinions and info in this regard.

Look forward to picking your brain on the fuel issues.
It seems that the current tunes are limited by fuel delivery... basically as far as tunes the car is "out of gas" although development continues.  4DR developed an auxiliary fuel pump set-up that worked pretty well in his 600+ WHP Flex which as you know, is a transverse 3.5 TT EB just like the one in the SHO.  I have looked at it with him... but he could better explain.  He is able to reproduce it.

Hope this helps some.

BSFC (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) is going to vary by load & rpm/hp, so not sure what data is publicly available.

Here is a brief article on Ecoboost engines that may be of interest?  http://greenfuelsforecast.com/ArticleDetails.php?articleID=748
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!
