Has anyone been paying attention to what used SHO's are going for?  Holding their book value?

Thoughts on what a 2011 fully loaded (NAV, moon roof, PP) , with 45k miles may go for?  NADA high book is like 27/28 but looking for an actual, realistic number.

When I bought mine in January 2013, prices did vary within 100 mile range of Chicago. Based on what I could afford, I was looking for something around 2 to 3 years old with 20,000 to  30,000 miles. The prices I were seeing were high 20's to mid 30's. I was patient and found one at a Lexus dealership. They took it in on a trade. It was almost 3 years old with 26,000 miles. Non nav with sync and PP.  $26,000 out the door. I think given they were a Lexus dealer they just didn't know what they had. They actually told me that the car was about to go to the auction and they were taking a loss. They only had it like 3 months. Moral of the story, SHO's seem to hold there value but if you are patient and shop around, you could get lucky. Good luck.

^^^^Pay attention to the post above. I have found the best practice to picking up used cars is to find an off brand car at a luxury car brand dealer and be willing to travel a little bit. I bought my 2013 PP SHO at a BMW dealership 200 miles from home. I made a crazy low ball offer and they accepted it with no questions asked. Most of the time whoever traded in their off brand car got beat up pretty bad on trade-in to "upgrade" to a luxury brand. My car was 4 months old, perfect condition, 7,000 miles, had Lojack installed at the dealership and I got it for $31,600.
In your case, I would think you could get the car you mentioned in your OP for around $23,000 to $25,000 pending on your location and if you are willing to travel.

Looks like OP may be trying to value his own. This weird thing about dealers, at least in my opinion, is that they focus on the model year of the car more than the mileage. Now I have seen, other than mine, some good deals on used SHO's. But I have seen 2012 and especially 2013's with 50k and up going for mid $30's. To me, unless the car is like 10 years old, lower mileage is more important to me. If you are in fact looking to value your car, do what I do when selling my ride. Search on auto trader and cars.com for same model year, similar mileage, and options as close to your as possible within a 200 mile range. Then you can see what other private sellers and dealers alike are asking for.

Zeck Ford close to KC Missouri has like 5 low mile used 2013 SHO's for 27-29 grand.  zeckford.com

They have some of the most aggressive pricing nationwide IMO.  Good luck.

When I was searching for my SHO every Zeck Ford was originally titled In Michigan. I came to the conclusion after investigation that these may have been Ford test mules or cars for Ford employeesand that is why the pricing is so low. Either they were probably beat on.

These cars don't hold their value as well as others out there, I found that out when I had mechanical issues with mine and considered selling it. Nature of the beast I guess, to the average Joe 'Taurus' is a four-letter word and a lot of people are simply clueless when it comes to the SHO. I'm thinking any car I purchase in the future is going to be lightly used, so somebody else can drive it off the lot and take the hit.

I always go to the autotrader web site and do a fairly broad search to get a feel for the going prices on a particular vehicle. That will usually get you in the ballpark.

"Lightly used" is for sure the way to go. I bought my 04' F-150 in April of 05'. It was driven for 6 months and had 4,400 miles on it. Going rate at the time for a new FX4 crew cab with same options was around $44,000. After some calculated and strategic haggling I talked them down from $34,888 to $29,500.

They are Ford executive cars I was told.  Mine only had 3600 miles on it.  And yes, it is the best pricing I could find almost a year ago.  Assuming they were beat on any more than any other "used" car is only an assumption your making...  LOL 

Who owns a SHO that doesn't beat it, just a little? 

american cars in general don't hold value well.  i myself have started looking for a 13, under 20k miles.  i paid 29k for 11 SHO with 4k miles on it in 11/12.  i can basically get a 13 for  the same price.  have the same payment and get a car two years newer.  why not.

My 2011, moon roof, non-PP, no NAV with 49k miles, I paid just over $17k in November 2013. Had been sitting on dealer lot for 3 months. So they were desperate to move. I literally stumbled into it as I was NOT shopping but comparing and preparing for later this year when I was going to pull the trigger.
