I am hoping fellow members can weigh in with the method they used to tint their tail lights and show some pictures of the results. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Lamin-X for both headlamps and tails.  Good heavy film and actual was not all that difficult to install, just a little time consuming. And that is the kit I purchased...well, actually the kit for the '10.

I have the Lamin-x currently on the car.  I only went this route since I couldn't get my painter to commit to painting them.  The Lamin-x is alright but no where as nice as a good paint job.  At some point I'm sure I'll pull it and have them painted.

I would have to recommend that you DO NOT pull Lamin-X (maybe any tint) off of headlights.  I did and it was an expensive nightmare. The lenses have a UV coating on them that comes off very easily.

2013's already has tinted headlights, so I am looking at matching that tint on the tail lights only.

This is not correct.

Tail lights are NOT tinted from the factory.

The attached images were all culled from FMC directly, or Ford Dealership Sales Lots as examples there of:

Why do people want to sacrifice safety for looks. Are we that vain in today's society? My 2 cents which after exchange rate is probably nothing & since the government took away our pennies then the nickel exchange manages to 2 cents. IMHO

I used the lightest (tint) available for the headlights, I wanted to put the film on the headlights more for protection then to darken them, and I didn't want to lose any light, the tint color did exactly what I wanted, you have to look very close to see that they are not stock.  Also with the gunsmoke on the tails, I really believe it improves the look and does NOT sacrifice any safety.

I have the smoke tint from Lamin-X.   I love it.

Looks great!  How is the brightness on the tails... got any night pics.  This could look great on my tux black one too.
