EcoHell

I just picked up my 2018 Explorer Sport on Thursday, July 5, 2018.  My name is Bill. I named her EcoHell.  I am known to mod my vehicles as well as show them in national, state, and local car shows.  I don't think I will be showing EcoHell as I have two other vehicles for that.  I hope to learn what to do and what not to do in this forum..I will take interior pictures to complete this thread shortly.  I plan on starting my own thread, showing my build and my other toys.  Here are some pictures of EcoHell and my other vehicles..

For anyone into Audi's, I am pretty well known in the Audi forums, as well as a couple of catalogs..  this is MonSoonHell (sold):

This is my built Lincoln, where the only thing stock on her is the body...from a FMS crate motor, Vortech Supercharger and converted to a 5 speed manual, custom interior, blah blah blah..:

And my early retirement gift to myself was BloodyHell:

So are there any Long Islander's on this forum?

I suppose NY can be Hell, but I thought you were from Hell, MI initially, LOL.

Welcome to the group, great collection of rides, and congrats on the 2018 X!  Looking forward to your build, and am sure the X will be a headturner even if you don't show it.  OCD usually wins in the end :)
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I will be looking into multiple companies for tuning EcoHell.  I am curious about the pros and cons of the companies that offer such.  I will be conducting searches throughout the internet to find out and will post my findings in the thread I create in the appropriate forum here.  And yes, once you go boost, it is like crack..very addicting.

Greetings from Nebraska.
I am trying to get my wife to consider an Explorer Sport to replace her Suburban.
I think she just needs to drive one!

Many of us in the Edge community have gotten Explorers (not Sports :( ) due to the ongoing air bag recall issues.  So far reviews have been 100% positive.  2018 MY.

The funny thing is, I went off the YouTube reviews of the 2018 Sport and building my Sport on the Ford website...I didn't even test drive one.  Having driven EcoHell, I have no regrets. I did own a Trailblazer SS and regret trading her in for my Audi.  So an SUV was definitely going in my garage sooner or later..and after a couple of months of comparing SUVs..my decision was made.

I am already shopping for rims (haven't decided which ones yet), tuning kit and lowering springs from Livernois (however, after reading their customer service reviews ...I am not really 100% sold on them).  But, I believe in talking with those that have their product(s) and their opinions before deciding.

Not sure how many kids you have, but the Sport is definitely wider than most SUVs and you definitely notice it.  If the trunk space isn't an issue, there is plenty of space in the rear for daily activities, maybe not so with long hauls with everyone in seats...I would say that two collapsible strollers could fit in the back upright (if that makes sense).
