I have a 2010 sho with 100k on it.  Last night when I was pulling through an intersection my car reved quick and I dismissed it as ice since in Wisconsin we have had cold and rain.  Well this morning it did the same thing but a bit longer.  Anybody have any ideas what it could be?  I just had the tranny fluid changed 3 months ago.  Thanks

Might (hopefully) just need a calibration update.  I attached a TSB that may apply to your car.

possibly a case of the tss/oss sensors.  could also be a throttle body or MAP sensor issue.  sometimes engine problems masquerade as trans problems.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Will this affect my livernois tune?

SHOdded

Yes.  See my signature.  Return to stock, let dealer update.  Note new strategy, let Livernois know.  They create updated tunes, you load those tunes on your vehicle.

The move I think about it the two times it happened I was in paddle mode and went to back to drive. Would that ring any bells for any of you?

While waiting for responses ... When stock, this effect is more pronounced than when tuned.  Sure the tires are providing good traction?

Yeah they have maybe 5k on them.  I didn't even get on it.  Just Eased on and it was in 1st than acted like it hit neutral.  No traction control light or any error codes.  I just kept it in d on the way home and couldn't replicate it.  Fluid levels are good aswell.  It was like 5 degrees this morning but I've been in way colder and never had an issue.  I wonder if me being in manual and going back into drive with out stopping confused it. Or maybe the shifter wasn't quite in the right spot? I'm hesitant to take it in because of past experiences. For example my civic so would pop out of gear. I'd take it in and they could never get it to do it so they told me to pack sand.  Loved the car for the 5 years I've had it (5 years to the day) but maybe it's time to move on?

nah far from moving on.  Sensor issues not mechanical, if I am reading the situation correctly.  Or calibration.

2010 was the first model year so bound to have a few issues.  This could be tss/oss, but if it was acting like it was in neutral, then it COULD be the trans range sensor.  I would do them all at the same time as they are all packed in together, if it came to it.  4 hrs labor.

What would you estimate the bill being for that.  Don't get me wrong I loved the car since I got it.  Was my post deployment gift to myself. Only issues I've had were calipers, wheel bearings and the sunroof broke due to the plastic piece that rides infront to push the wind deflector down. And now this whatever it is.  My brother copied me with an sho and now he has a brand new kb supercharged mustang. Maybe it's just a bit of jealously and I should just stick with my car.

When were the Hubs (wheel bearings) replaced ?  What type did you go with?  Thrust Washers also Replaced?  Speed sensors!
I wonder if the cold weather is playing any type of role in this!!! Z

It's been a few years I think 2 of them were done. I mean I'm not ruling out the cold but today was warm compared to a month ago when it was -20 for weeks straight.

550-600$ at an independent for TSS/OSS and TRS sensors.  Dealership typically in the 850-900 range.  Part of that is you typically do not get discount on the Ford parts at the dealership, however you can source them yourself for much cheaper online and have the independent install them.  With due diligence, it can be a DIY job, estimate about 8 hours the first time around.  So maybe over a weekend.
