Well friends...
The wife and I are due with our first child at the beginning of February. Shortly before we found out we were pregnant, we bought a Doberman puppy. The puppy is now 60lbs at 6 months and takes up the entire back seat. We now realize the dog and baby will not fit in the back seat of our cars at the same time. The dog will be 90-100lbs fully grown. After extensive research, we decided on a 2014 Flex ecoboost with 12k miles. My 2010 SHO now has 125k miles with 9k left on Ford premium warranty. My wife's 2013 plain jane Impala(which I hate driving) has 70k with 30k left on the factory warranty. We have to get rid of one. My brain says trade in the SHO and drive the wife's old impala to work. Considering how much I have abused that SHO plus the mileage, the car will just be a huge gamble after that warranty is gone. My genitalia says "screw that, keep your car." I had to remind my genitalia that it got me in this predicament in the first place.
The Flex will be my wife's car. She hates how my car rode and how violent the shifting was. So she said I am not allowed to tune the Flex. So no more fun.... Unless I can sneak the tune in without the firm shifting? I imagine that would just be too hard on the clutches....
This forum site has been very good to me. This has been a great community that has helped and saved me tons of money. Shout out to Torrie and AJP for the tunes that made me love this car even more.
The car gets traded in Saturday. Once it's gone, I will have a set of weathertech floor mats and a tuner I will need to sell. Selling the cats will probably be not worth that hassle. I have not been this attached to a car like this since high school. It's depressing really... Maybe this lack of speed will make me get off my butt and finish my old hot rods...
