Does anyone have vinyl overlays over their front and back Ford emblems? I tried to get some off of eBay but 2.5 months later I gave up and got a refund. I was looking at doing a carbon fiber black background and red Ford lettering. Anyone have suggestions on vendors or have experience making them yourselves?

I was making them with a cricut but recently the soft stopped letting me because of Ford so I emailed them to see what's going on why recent change.
They are having an update come out soon so not sure if it will work then or what?

Yeah I remember watching that thread. Let me know if/when the software gets updated.

In the meantime, anyone else have ideas?

BTW, the vendor I used on ebay was SJM-auto-decals. Quality items, just sent the first set too large (F150 size), then took 2.5 months, sent a second set where he just cut inside the red (chrome on the original) ring around the outside, eliminating that part of the design. Also, it was hand-cut, so not very well done.

I got the exact product your looking for from SJM-auto-decals. Overall i was very displeased with the service and quality of the product. I had to constantly follow up on my order after it hadn't been shipped after 3 weeks and i think it ended up taking almost 6 weeks to finally get the overlays.
Upon install the edges of the overlay wouldn't lay down-kept popping up and looked stupid. I then resorted to using some 3m spray adhesive along with a heat gun and that seemed to do the trick. Then week after week the overlays kept shrinking after application and now has at least a 1/4" gap between the blue oval and the overlay. Pretty shoddy craftmanship.

So they didn't email me but I got on the laptop to find out that they updated the software and also let me change sizes by thousandths of an inch

That's a good photo I may be able to oversize the image by the .125 so when you heat shrink it it will fit or give that other company another try with that measurement

If you have patience with me as I work a job that keeps me from the house at a month at a time some times right now be home till next week. I can make overlays first 50 people for 5 dollars free shipping  then after will be $20 free shipping per overlay also I will needing to order most materials first some I can get in town I can get mat black carbon vinyl locally don't think they have the newer 3d finish think they call it

Yes! i'm all about supporting forum members in carrying out DIY projects! However, i would not give the previously mentioned company my business even once more just based on pure lack of communication and service. And not to be too eager here, but I've seen a lot of vendors do 3 packs, front, rear, and steering wheel emblems. All I really need is the front and back, but a steering wheel option would be a bonus!

+1 on 3 pack and forum support, will you be making multiple colorways? I like the carbon as I have Tuxedo black, but was also thinking about a matte gray for the blue and gloss black for the chrome.

Paypal is best/easiest for me. Color wise i'm looking for the exact color and style of overlays i have in the pics but just better quality. I have one extra overlay i never applied that's been sitting in my garage. I'd be happy to send it to you if you'd like to take measurements or it would help you in any way. I also removed the one from the pic above and could send that to you so you can measure how much it shrank. Keep us updated and let me know if there's any way i can help!
