Wasn't sure which category was appropriate for this question, but here it goes.
A couple dealerships got nailed with hail recently in Southern Illinois producing some new car deals. I hit 110k miles on my SHO and it has 15k left on extended warranty. Doubting the dealership will give me extra money for the warranty, I figured I should sell it on my own and would be a good selling point.
One dealership has 3 2017 GMC Sierra 4x4 Elevation package for 13k below at 30k. Pretty good deal, but they are not going to fix the dents.
A nearby Ford dealership got all their trucks nailed with hail and is taking 7k off for the damage, plus they will do a paintless dent repair for free on the truck before you pick it up. I'm on the fence with this 2017 F150 Lariat with the 3.5 Ecoboost and 10 speed. They took off 7k as a hail sale. However I noticed other dealerships had nearly the same deal just in incentives. Are they trying to pull a fast one on me? Would it be crazy to ask for the 6.5k off in incentives as well? I'm terrible at negotiating and is why I'm asking here before I make the 3 hour drive. MSRP is 51k. If I could get 13.k off then I'm sold.
Thank you in advance!
