Z I'm not sure what you are getting at. That's a bunch of accurate information there but no follow up. Do you mean the in tank pump couldn't keep up with boost spikes that high? Or that the high pressure pump by the IM couldn't keep up with it? Or are you just talking about psi related items in the fuel system?
Edit after the 12psi,sorry about that just feeling a bit under the weather.  Z :(

Z You quoted CR, PSI and an understanding that this is a GTDI engine but I'm not sure where you were going with all of that. Thank you for the info I'm just not sure what the point of it all was. Just making the statement that a stock EB can not achieve boost over 12psi?

Could be a stuck wastegate if the 40 psi reference (absolute, rather than relative) is correct.  Would be nice if they would release the datalogs to you :)

At least on the SHO, the stock turbos are efficient up to about 18 psi.  That's one of the reasons a 3 bar MAP can help tune the SHO better, even if you only spike into that range.  Since the X is also transverse engined, it should have the same turbos as the SHO AFAIK.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

FordFam due post some pic's of the engine bay preferably with (no cover) on if possible and lets get the ball rolling on this by at least tomorrow  Z ;)

SHOdded: in my second post I mentioned my thoughts about a possible stuck wastegate.

ZSHO: thank you for your efforts but your posts don't make sense to me. My Xsport is at the dealership so I can't take pics of the engine bay for you but it looks like a very clean stock engine. :D

Yes, and I was confirming that this is a possibility given the data they pulled.  I had also mentioned datalogging as a "need" in these situations, because aside from the visual onceovers, that is part of the modern diagnostic toolbox.  Datalogging is easily done with Torque Pro and an OBD adapter.  There is a thread on custom parameters in addition to what Torque natively provides for this platform.

Since the dealership has the XSport, maybe then can scope out the intake valves at the same time.  Since the XSport is not driven much, and if it is not driven hard on occasion, it is very possible they are coked up.  IIRC, BG had said about every 30,000 miles on their treatment to prevent carboning from becoming an issue, and your XSport is sitting in that spot right there.

Z probably wants pics of the engine bay to look for hoses that popped off the intake tubing. It's a very common problem on these engines.

Correct and good point about the valves/carbon build I've read about that but I have not mentioned it to the dealership. What's the normal process for scoping the valves out? Through the intake man. correct? I saw a video of a Focus ST at 25K and it's 1 and 4 valves were nasty looking.

Really? Hoses randomly coming off is a common problem on the EB? That's not good. I had checked it over before taking it in but after a week and a half at the dealership I'm sure they have checked it over. Thank you though I appreciate the thought.

Great information everyone, thank you all so much for helping a new member out in a time of need with all of your suggestions too.

glock knows the scoping process intimately, but yes, you would feed the borescope through the intake manifold to look at the valves.

I guess if my posts don't make any sense to you my friend you have alot of learning to do on this Platform and best of luck in finding a permanent fix.  Z

Usb camera or snake camera though the throttle body is the easiest/most common way to check out valves. Some people pull the intake to inspect but it's obviously more involved.

I have some videos on youtube I uploaded of my valves.

Yes it's absolutely an issue that's been reported here several times.
Look here. These are all boost/vacuum lines if you don't have clamps I would suggest installing some at these locations.

Wow on a top of the line vehicle there are hoses with no clamps? That's crap.
Great photo and explanation Glock, thank you very much.

Also as I mentioned in my first post I'm new to this platform so I'm still learning about it's specifics and quirks (aka hoses without clamps HAHA). I also have not been on this forum long so if there are topics that have been discussed I have probably missed them and not found them in the searches yet.

Not new to working on cars by any stretch of the imagination. I've removed and rebuilt a few engines, transmissions, transfercases, bend my own tube weld it up and tuned through SCT's and old school piggy back systems (tied into the PCM harness) even ran a window switched dry nitrous set up. Not a ton of S/C or turbo experience but I've worked on my friends WRX back in the day that's about it.

UPDATE:
The service manager called and told me that they determined it was a stuck/sticking waste gate and they've replaced the solenoid. Having a basic understanding of waste gates wouldn't that mean they replaced the entire waste gate? What would be considered a solenoid in the waste gate world? It's just an arm that leads to a housing with a diaphragm correct?

Further update lines running to the rear of the vehicle were leaking and the system was completely out of freon. They are replacing the lines and filling with freon tomorrow and the shifter lever and assembly has been replaced (earlier comments about not recognizing it was in park) and all is functioning.
I think we need to shell out the cash for the extended warranty. A garaged and well kept 2013 Xsport is having all these problems? That can not be normal.

I'm pretty sure the waste gate solenoid is the part with the 3 clamps on it. The  other end of the vacuum lines on that go to the waste gates.
Unless they're calling the blow off valves waste gate solenoids.
Those are right here.
And follow the arrow back towards the firewall on this pipe and there's another that look just like it.

People have reported the rubber sealing surface inside the BOV disintegrating and causing a boost leak.
