Cylinder numbers

Dumb question but I can't find it searching. How are the cylinders numbered? Had a misfire and don't know which is #2 for example.

Front starting on the passenger side is 4 5 6 and rear bank starting on passenger side is 1 2 3.   and #2 is rear bank # 2 middle cylinder.  Z
