So, low and behold, I am in & out of the house this morning, running various errands, and I come home to a front porch containing a few brown boxes.
Scrambling, I think to myself "Uh oh, what the hell did I order? What did I forget about that was scheduled to arrive today? Poop, I'm glad Wife's not home, got make quick of this".
So, I scan the shipper info, and it displays "Ford Motor Co."...... still scratching my head at this point :hmmm:
I proceed to bring the boxes inside, open them, and WOW! :hypo:
Much to my surprise, multiple Ford Taurus SHO promotional items are enclosed.
I received the following:
1 Large, Black/White Taurus SHO Umbrella
1 Large, Black Taurus SHO Duffel/Gear Bag
1 6K White LED Taurus SHO Flashlight
1 Clear/Blue Taurus SHO Water Bottle
1 Silver/Carbon Fiber Taurus SHO Coffee Mug
1 Large White T-Shirt with Taurus SHO Logo Imprinted in Black on Front & Reverse.
How freak'n cool is that I ask? :bow:
Now I suspect who from FMC Corporate may have sent these items to me, but I'm not 100% sure.
Since I think they may read these boards, as well as a few others, I wanted to put out there on the world wide web, that a BIG :thankyou: is in order, and that I am very appreciative of this token of gratitude.
I will use/display each item proudly.
Now, I do recall having seen these items at the Nat'l SHO Convention back in 2012, as a few of these, most notably the umbrella, were brought there to use at the auction for charity.
I really, really wanted that damn umbrella. Especially since it was black/white and went directly with the them of my car. I just didn't have enough coin on hand to outbid the highest bidder.
No worries I thought, I'll just go online, search for it, and buy one outright. Fail.
I've been trying ever since to get a hold of these items, and the umbrella, to no avail.
Can't find them anywhere. I even visited a few of the Mfg'ers websites and a whole lot of nothing.
So once again, I find myself truly truly blessed, and very very thankful for this surprise gift.

All to no avail.
I gave up essentially. Got tired of coming up empty handed every which way I turned.
I think these items are for promotional use only, and are not available for commercial sale in any way.

The thing that amazes me, is that I still have SO MUCH MORE planned for my SHO, that I myself only think she's only partially complete at this point.
I just really love this car & all of the friendships, partnerships, and business relations that have sprung forth from having done all that I have thus far.

Congrats Mike! I wasn't even aware Ford had promotional Taurus SHO stuff, but apparently its limited to probably the factory. I know our plant has stuff they give away that probably can't be gotten any where else.
I would love to have the SHO shirt in black with a white outline. I looked everywhere for recent SHO shirts to no avail.
I would imagine someone on this site has a hook up to get some SHO shirts made up in a group buy scenario...and I would be in if this every happened!
I can place an inquiry as to whether or not clothing apparel is available for purchase.
I can assure you though, in a rather definitive manner however, that creation of such items, w/o prior consent from FMC, will bring down the wrath of their almighty legal eagles to slap an injunction, and/or immediate issuance of a cease & desist order onto those that do.
Prime example, one of my old embroiderers, who performed just outstanding custom work on my Charger (and the entire Chrysler/Dodge/Mopar community overall) got served with these very papers I describe above.
They almost sh!t when I asked them to do some custom embroidery work for my SHO, as they recognized my pioneering efforts in the Charger platform garnered me as much attention then, as my SHO garners attention now.
They explained the whole saga to me, & politely refused my work & suggested I look elsewhere as they believed they were still under the microscope so to speak to ensure compliance with said issued court orders.
Not trying to scare anyone, but just throwing it out there as to what could happen.
Again, all that said, I will place an inquiry. That's the best I can do.
