Spraying meth but no cooling temps in the intake ...

OK I removed the big loop from the reservoir to the methanol pump. I now have a 5 inch line going directly from the reservoir to the pump. I also placed a pressure gauge in line with the primary nozzle.  My pump has over 200 psi and it climbs up rapidly. I then decided to put the system under boost while I checked all the fittings. Once I touched the T fitting it immediately started leaking methanol everywhere. I replaced it with just a plastic T fitting I had for now until my new one comes in the mail. I really hope this was my issue.  It would definitely explain why I was getting air in the line.

I guess with any setup the shorter the hose the better IMO Without any such kinking, especially coming from an open Loop design.

I think Snow recommends using some 6000 sealant . Z

I would get a fire extinguisher for added assurance IMO.

Once I know this issue is resolved I'm gonna get rid of all the push and lock fittings. This is the 3rd time a push and lock fitting has leaked on me. Only thing that might suck is I don't think I can change the pump fittings. May need to buy a new pump.

Wow! just having the thought it may leak again is simply inexcusable!!!. Z

Looks like the T fitting was the culprit. I wanna say thank you for all the help guys. This forum is awesome. I love how everyone tries to help each other out!

Someone really should have suggested checking for leaks... :)

In all seriousness, I'm glad you got it straightened out.  Now go replace those nylon lines with braided hose and AN fittings.  Start with one of these.

I find it odd you never mentioned a single Peep about having to replace a push and lock fitting for the 3rd time due to it leaking until now and even on your previous post below.!!!!!

But glad you found the very culprit and certainly want to avoid a catastrophic failure, event from happening.  Best of luck on a permanent fix. Z

Every other time it leaked from the push and connect fittings I could see it while I applied boost to the system. This time there was no leak until I reached down and moved the t fitting which I've done before but it never leaked. The other (2) leaks were the push and connects on the nozzle holders. There was never any signs of a leak coming from the T fitting. And that's even with me applying 8 psi of pressure to the system. If I didn't reach done and grab that T fitting and move it around a bit. I'd probably still be trying to find the issue. With the amount of meth the came out of that fitting it's unbelievable how fast it dried up on a cold engine. Within 10-15 seconds you would never know there was a leak it that area. Trust me I got lucky yesterday finding that. There was never a sign of a leak anywhere that's why I was sure there wasn't one. Now I'm just glad it's fixed until I swap everything over and throw out these fittings. Once again thanks for everything guys.

One more thing, I don't know how you came up with the limits for your meth injection, but it seems like you're not really taking advantage of the "progressive" feature of your controller.

QuoteI have two nozzles and the first one starts to spray at 4 psi and maxes out at 5psi. And the second nozzles starts at 5psi and maxes out at 6psi.

You're not going to spend much time between 4 psi & 6 psi, so I suspect both nozzles are pretty much spraying the max when you're under boost.  It's like you turned your Stage 3 into a Stage 1.  I would consider widening the boost ranges.

Geezuz.

Having read about all those push lock connections leaking, is yet another reason for a well advertised public service announcement to be broadcast about steering WAY FAR AWAY FROM the Snow (following term used loosely....) "Performance" Kit.

I did adjust those settings after talking to Julio over at Alky Control who explained why my controller setup wasn't ideal. Thanks!!!

Probably why they recommend their boost juice... non flammable... oh and for alll that is holy don't run their kit on a meth dependent tune...

Ddlopes went down to 800psi at the rail because there was no meth... could have been really bad...

So I think I have the same issue. I have no leaks I went with AN fittings and stainless less braided lines. I have primed the system and when I run with the back seats down I can hear the pump working.
When I removed the hose from the nozzle and put boost on the reference line the pump turns on and starts spraying. But I don't even see a 5degree difference at all.
Any ideas what else might be causing this?
I'm currently running boost juice I barely installed the system yesterday and have sent a log to AJP and waiting an answer but from looking at log the temp never drops.
I do have a 3gallon tank and my pump is leveled with the tank but there's enough juice to keep the pressure to the pump up.
