Methanol Injection VS Gearhead Intercooler

 Here is snap shot of IAT2 (air temp at the intake manifold) between my Gearhead Methanol tune using the alky control kit from LMS and my Gearhead E30 Tune using the new GH intercooler... ambient outside was almost identical... same with boost...

Meth log went down to 70 degrees and GH IC went down to 77 degrees. 

Ive been thinking about meth and the new GH IC.  How can I utilize meth the same way I am now with the new IC?  I'm wondering if I need the HPFP to make that happen while staying with pump 93.  I want to make sure the new IC is being used to my benefit as much as possible.  I don't want to dial back meth if I don't have to.  Lol if I want to run things on the super safe side I would remove all my mods an thats not happening.  So running the new IC to then dial back Meth sounds counter productive to me.  Imagine that...85 degree ambient outside and 35 degrees at the manifold or less!  Lol maybe that will cause a fueling issue but I dunno.  Sounds good to me to have it below zero at the manifold while its 95 degrees out

You shouldnt need the HPFP if you are running meth.. unless you want it for safety in the event the meth pump dies on you. HOWEVER, with the HPFP, you can dial back the meth for sure since you wont need it for additional FUEL.. but spray enough take advantage of the increased OCTANE/COOLING.

As far as coupling it with the GH IC... I am curious what kind of benefits you may see as well.. I know there is atleast one guy who has the IC and is spraying meth.. but not sure if they have installed the IC yet...

Ok that answers that question as its really an issue with ethonal blended tunes with low IAT2 temps and fueling.  I wasnt sure if I would need it.  I'm very curious to see how much benefit the two powers combined are.  Trying to figure out if I'm missing something else to support the combo...other than upgraded turbos.  Can't do both.  Idk maybe upgrade the turbos and not the IC.....if only I go do it all at once ...that would be nice.

I would get the IC and dial back the meth just to be safe.

Yup...... this.

I already have the upgraded turbos along with a built motor and pretty much everything else.

I've purchased the  upgraded HPFP and IC and will be installing both of those in the next few weeks.

I won't know of the definitive improvements until I schedule (yet another) dyno session at LMS.

I will report back though once it all happens.
