13 MKS PCV TSB?
January 27, 2018, 11:58:47 PM
So is there any obvious way to know whether this has been done? My 13 MKS was used with 47k when I bought it and Im not sure if it has been changed/updated. Thanks for any info.

Well ... the valve cover would have been replaced, so instead of metal, you would see composite/black. Other than that, an OASIS report might verify.
If connectors changed (IDK) that would be another confirmation.

If tuned: Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Thanks. Mine are still gray/aluminium. Did this problem plague all 13s or is there a certain mfg date cutoff poor is this just a result of poor maintenance? I don't have any oil in the separator and everything seems ok. I removed it cleaned it out and checked pcv valve and cleaned it out as well (nice and free rattling). Seemed ok I do smell oil at times after some hard driving but I blame it on my bov's venting to atmosphere. I did notice some oil consumption maybe 1 quart but I have been driving "pretty hard" testing all the tunes. About 1k miles since last oil change. Full synth.

If the rear valve cover was replaced it would look somewhat newer than the front depending on the date it was installed!
Do you have any pics for comparison?
I would also check the CAC (intercooler) especially being a quart low IMO! Z
