What do you consider fast?

For a daily driver, I think 0-60 is more important than quarter mile.  Under 5 seconds is fairly quick.  I would consider 4 flat or even 4.2 to be fast.  A well tuned SHO can do that and you won't meet many other cars at a stoplight that can beat it.

That's a solid point. A lot of cars can't keep up with us through the 1/8th. It's around 60 mph that most cars, that are fast, start coming like freight trains. I like the track. I have pretty good R/T's so I beat a lot of cars I shouldn't and I always got N/T (people won't line up if they see my times for some reason). Between solid R/T and the other person spinning after he finally did go, I beat a C7 Z06 in the 1/4 three weeks ago. My best kill yet! Understand though, he was coming, and he was coming by me FAST. He caught me at the finish line but I eeked him out. Like Vin Cheesal says, "It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning."

This one thing I think a lot of people forget. On the street, stop to stop light tends to be most prevalent...  I have never on the street run from a stop all the way to 110+ mph... no one wants to go to jail for a light to light run...

On the streets torque is king.. combine that with AWD and you have a stoplight monster. Our SHO's tend to fit that category very well...

Now at a track is different beast...

I can't get people to run me on the street for the most part. It's rare. On the street, I've raced a C5, 370, GTR, Charger R/T, and a Mazda Speed3. That's with me owning the car for multiple years and going out on the weekends to the local spots and looking for a race. Something bout the cars makes people not want to bite. Feel like I need some stickers or something rofl.

The SHO is a tricky beast to get people to run, as are the Xsports. Why? Because they or almost identical vehicles (with regards to the body) are used as police vehicles and undercovers. Especially darker colored or 'normal colored' people tend to assume it could be a cop vehicle just from what it is. Ever notice if you come up on people speeding they either slow down as they see you coming, or move over to let you pass, and simultaneously slow down?

Not everyone makes these connections, but a lot of people who are into racing in the less legal locations will take this into account. You rarely see police in a mustang (though I've seen a few), a 'ricer' (yet to see one, except a few drug seizures), or an exotic/high end luxury (BMW, Mercedes, etc) (again seen a few siezures). But most ford cruisers now are either a Taurus or an explorer. It's likely not you but the car.

Good Point.  I also feel like cops give me a pass more than any other car I have driven.  Interestingly, in the town where I work is where Subaru Outbacks are assembled and there are a few Outback cop cars, and the state police has always had a few Camaros and Mustang GT's all stealth like.

Hmmm, appears I should maybe not make it look so stock. I love the sleeper aspect of it, though. I'll get some wheels soon, my ex wife did a number on my stockers with her bad driving =( Maybe some wheels will help.

People often ask if I drive my SHO on duty.

To which I laugh at them, and say..... "C'mon, it's government. Do you really think the politicians would flip for something like this?".

They in turn laugh too, and say "yea, you're right".

What's even more priceless is engaging in a playful, spirited jaunt, then pulling up to the next light, stopping side by side again, only for me to roll my window down and the other driver to peer over, see the clown gear (a.k.a. uniform) then get this "oh $h!t" look on their face until I give them a hearty thumbs up and wish for them to enjoy the remainder of their day.

Simply PRICELESS.

Rofl, that's a 5th Gen Camaro..... Mike would destroy that thing so hard and probably would have smoked the kid in the Porsche. I bet that car would need a driver mod to be scary. Other than that, I agree. I could see Mike doing that in the SHO. ROFL

Ha! Yea...... I could see doing that. But......

His psgr was kind of cute. I would've rather drag for her, instead of pinks.

Then I'd be laughing at the next intersection as she (willingly) exits douche bag's car, and joyfully hops into mine.

I'd have the bracelets all ready for her that's for sure.
