Elusive 11's!!!!!!!

I was curious to know how many SHO'S-TO-DATE have achieved or accomplished this without upgraded Turbos ? TIA. Z

Only one I know is clubsfit...BCB tuned. There is a video of a white one S** tuned claiming 11's... mostly stock I believe.

Maybe ZSHO is next?!?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Only one that I can recall on stock setup, and it was a barely there 11.99 IIRC. I believe Manu is correct on it being 91Hybrid (John?).

Regardless of mod list, builds, types of fuel, etc. I believe only 6, or 7 in  total have attained entry into that (very) elusive 11's club.

If it is true and the car did go a 11.99 and wasnt on a melt down kill tune!! Id be happy with that especially knowing there were little areas he could pick up a few more tenths like adding billet wheels and waste gates on the turbo's or larger ones depending on his budget. There are are a few more tenths to be played around with these cars any many different areas for sure!!!!
Was there any thing to be had with the converter upgrade that went dead from a couple providers or the Sonnax zip Kit? Thanks guys

Yes, John Mcadoo's car did break into the 11's with stock turbos.  He was Unleashed tuned.  Car is now detuned.  I thought Club was S**tuned?  Yes it is possible.  I hope to get into the 12.1's at Cecil County in Oct.
2013 white Gen 5.  Gearhead Intercooler, Turbosmart wastegate actuators, Alky Controls meth kit, Livernois catted downpipes,  Livernois Corsa cat back black etched tips.  2016 True Street Champion.

The torque converter upgrades actually LOST tenths, so that road led to nowhere.  No idea if anyone has done the ZIP kit on the 6F55, and thus if it made any difference.

clubsfit was last tuned by BCB, ran 100 octane gas at the track to get to the 11's.  Really do not know if a daily driver, other than bpd's, can really hit that power time after time and still carry on.

Brian, would be great to see your SHO a hair's width from the 11's!  Make sure you change plugs & fluids a few days before :D

Clubsfit run was an E mix with 100 octane and was BCB tuned. I asked him specifically if that was a streetable tune and he stated he has a different tune for street use. He also removed the spare tire and passenger seat to sneak under the 12 second mark.  He also sold that car damn near the next the day... which also seemed suspicious to me...

IMHO I think getting to 11s CONSISTENTLY with the stock block is a challenge. With meth and the stock turbos you develop over 500lbs of torque easily... which according to any of the tuners that have gone there is pretty much playing with fire with stock internals...

I have some really high stress tunes that I am positive with good air and traction will get me close if not touching 11's... and its hell on my drive train....

I just don't see the advantage of bigger turbos without a built motor. Maybe cooler air and less pressure to achieve the same power but still....

And then once you venture down the realm of built motor and uograded turbos, you're stuck due to drivetrain limitations.

Hmm I'm not sure they can build a 600tq transmission without going full custom.   You can conceivably cram the 6t80 gears in our unit but the 6t80 itself is *still unable* (ie not rated) to handle more than 400tq at the crank.  Keep in mind the whole 6f## and 6t## joint developed Ford/GM tranny was conceived in 2006..

In car years this thing is ancient and I am shocked it sort of reliably handles my power output let alone BPD's,Z's or SBS ... 

At best, theyd mod a 6t80 because of the extra case ribbing to reduce flexing,  then replace the entire guts of the thing.
