Great night at Sumerduck!!! I roll in a few minutes late and as I am pulling in there is another 2010 Steel Blue SHO sitting in the pits!!! Talk about crazy! They didn't make a whole lot of these that year so it was pretty cool to see another! Turns out it was Steve who goes by TurboCoupe89 on the forum. Really cool dude! And his SHO puts mine to shame with how clean it looks.. not a dent, scratch, or mark anywhere! Beautiful SHO!
So my previous nights were pretty much trying to squeeze what I could out of the LMS "Alky" Tune. This night was 100% AJPTurbo's meth tunes.
-DA was hovering around 1500 all night long
-No weight reduction, full street prep with spare in the trunk
-1/4 Tank of 93E10 only with no additional E blended in.
-Tires at 23PSI on all four corners
-Dampening set to hardest on all four corners
-"Up Hill" track
Still working on getting the launch down, my first run was just to see how the track was prepped and to get a feel for how this tune comes off the line. No brake boosting just granny pedaling it.
Run 3 was TurboBuick's SHO vs my SHO.. It tree'd the F$%K out of me! Apparently I too busy admiring his car.
So switching to AJP's tune trapped faster speeds and netted better ET's by a quite a bit. I am still spinning off the line more than I like, so a little bit more practice getting this thing to squat and go will net much better results I am sure. There is plenty more I believe to get out of this tune which I didn't feel that way about the LMS tune...
Granted this track is not very good but since I started base-lining there, I thought it would only be fair to keep it up until I find what I am looking for. Next stop I believe is going to be either Colonial Beach or MIR for a few 1/4 mile runs.
