So I've been working with AJP on tuning my meth injected 13' SHO w/PP. I initially had my Snow Performance stage 3 setup with the primary nozzle at 100ml and the power nozzle at 625ml. That setup was requested by the previous tuner. After the reading first datalog AJP informed me the meth wasn't doing its job. For some reason it wasn't cooling properly and the ecu was pulling fuel. So AJP informed me to switched the 625ml power nozzle to a 175ml. He stated that I was using way too much meth. What a difference!!! I'm finally enjoying the meth and the car is pulling harder than ever. So just so you meth users now its not always best to inject more than less.

Sounds like a nozzle issue... if it wasn't cooling the IATs...

Glad you have found continued success!

I initially thought that but, I tested both nozzles and they were spraying perfect.

It was strange...the short term fuel trims were at .75 so it was pulling a ton of fuel and the afr was richer than commanded because the ecu was unable to pull enough fuel because there was so much meth so i couldnt understand why there wasnt adequate cooling of the charge temps

I really dont like the progressive meth sprays...i get the idea though...more meth when there is more boost..should negate the heat and give more octane as boost rises....but a moderate steady amount of meth usually gives the cooling and octane we need. And the ecu can trim the fuel quicker and better because with a steady meth spray the fuel trims level out quicker  which i think is better fir the spark plugs and 02 sensors and makes the car smoother

Makes logical sense, although you seemed pretty happy with the Alky kit.

Although, did ddlopes change the nozzle position?

this makes sense.  meth should atomize to work as a cooling agent.  I remember it like this: a stream of room temp water from a hose might feel good on a hot day, but those misters at amusement parks using the same temp water give goosebumps.

Interesting, to compare I did not get decent cooling until I switched to a 375 nozzle, and also saw up to .8 on the STFT..

What psi did you switch on at ?  And what pump pressure?

For me it seems cooling REALLY kicks in in the upper rpm band where I think it is more likely the meth will spray/mist the iat2 sensor..

I setup my primary nozzle to start spraying at 3psi and max out at 4psi. My power nozzle is set to spray at 4psi and max out at 5psi. I'm not sure what the pressure is on the pump.

That's really early IMO... mine doesn't start spraying until 6psi... but mine is a single nozzle setup.

Same here .. I think mine turns on about 6-psi as well..

I'm afraid of swamping misfires and hydrolocking too much earlier.
