Purchased a Kodiak Brown 2013 Lincoln MKS EB with 29k odo last week, what a pleasure it has been from coming out of a 08 Taurus Limited AWD with 160k miles which has been my DD for the past 7 years. My 04 Marauder has alike power as the MKS but it builds up since it's a NA V8 and has a high stall converter but those turbos kick the low end TQ real quick and smooth. I can't really notice any throttle lag in the MKS like I did in my Taurus which was horrible enough for me to get a tune just to change that.

I've lurked on the site several times before reading up on the PTU fluid changing threads since I was about to do it on my Taurus but then I came across the MKS and couldn't pass up the deal I got on it.

Will keep it mostly stock for now but plan on doing a catch can system and maybe change the mufflers since all I can hear is the motor while I exercise the go pedal.

Really love how sharp it looks, from far away it looks black but up close straight on or under direct light you can see it's brown.

Welcome and congrats, ctrlraven!  That Kodiak sure knows how to camouflage itself LOL.  If the turbo piping tract shows nothing more than a misting of oil, and the intercooler is pretty clean, chances are the catch can is not needed.  Are you familiar with catch cans in turbo applications?

Don't let the mileage deceive you, maintenance schedule-wise.  Get all the fluids uptodate.  If you DIY all the better :D  If not, hopefully your Lincoln dealership will accommodate the PTU/RDU fluid changes, I have heard of some that have done that.  A couple of Ford dealerships as well, but that is rare.

Might need to at least mufflers and X-pipe to make a dent in the tomb of silence.  Hopefully you won't need to add a resonator to kill unpleasant frequencies when you do free up the sound.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Thanks! I'll have take a peak in the piping tract and see how it looks. I am familiar with catch cans but not in turbo applications. Even if the piping tract shows misting of oil or nothing at all I'm still going to do one, just good insurance. I already contacted Team RXP inquiring if their SHO kit would work on the MKS.

It's got 30k on it now so I'll go ahead and change the Trans/PTU/RDU fluids. I haven't been under the car yet but I assume the PTU does not have a drain plug so I may go ahead and add one. Does the 2013 MKS come with a PTU fill tube? If not, is there a way to add one?

I need to take the car to my exhaust guy and see what he thinks, I just need hear something to use a reference for throttle/speed so I don't have to watch the rpms.
