I ran my Conti at Brainerd Raceway this week. I only got in one run prior to a thunderstorm that shut us all down. I launched the car basically from a fast idle with the plan of checking temps at the end and then getting more aggressive with it in later runs. Unfortunately, the rain spoiled that plan.
I think with a brake boosted launch and better air, the car might run 13.3 - 13.4 stock. In comparing it to my tuned MKS, it felt very slow. It was about 5-6 tenths slower in the 1/8 but only about 1-2 tenths slower from the 1/8 to the end of the quarter. The good news is that temps barely raised. My MKS would gain about 15-20 degrees just in one quarter mile run. The Conti started out around 195 and stayed there. That may be because it is bone stock and the engine is simply not working very hard.
Yes, that is a Tesla I am lined up against, and yes, I got my ass handed to me.
