I have a 2011 Supercrew FX4 3.5 Ecoboost. Had one turbo replaced at 50000 km under warranty. I now have 90000 km. Couple months ago when it was -30celcius the truck would turn on but wouldn't start. Almost like a dead battery but all lights were bright.
Somebody looked up on internet and was told to play with all the door and window buttons and open and close the door and try again and it started. Not a dead battery. Happened a couple times already. Someone told me I might have to bring it in and get a factory reset done.Has anyone had this issue before?  Thanks for any technical advise

Welcome, Ironman, glad to have you on here.  We did have one person report an issue on their F150 with power getting interrupted when driving over railroad tracks.  So I am thinking maybe loose connections in and around the underhood fusebox would be a good place to start.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Hey. Welcome! I'm from Winnipeg and very familiar with that weather condition. First thought is you might be on to something. Switches, especially momentary ones, do weird things when it gets that cold.  A reprogram may help.  I had auto up and down window issues in extreme weather and a reflash seemed to help. Worst case scenario, switch is faulty.  I know warranty is probably done, but those switches aren't too expensive to replace and there are self programming options available for cheap, such as forscan, etc. I'd ask dealer to reflash window module.  They may do it for nothing and it is a known issue. There may be a tsb on this forum that explains it.
