I was referenced to the below article from another forum.  Posted at the end of the thread, but figured the question might see more traffic here...

Looking to do the HD brake upgrade on my 2011 EB Flex; however, I'm running into some inconsistencies with part numbers and information regarding which parts will fit with what.

I was told that the 2013+ SHO, Police Interceptor Utility, and Flex w/ HD brakes all used the same larger/thicker rotor, and revised caliper. Here are the parts that the OP spec'd versus what I spec'd

Here are the parts the OP spec'd

QuoteParts (All motorcraft except rotors and pads)
    Calipers: BRCF208/BRCF209
    Caliper Brackets: BRBC28/BRBC29
    Rotors: Raybestos 680982
    Pads: Raybestos EHT1611H
    Hoses:  BRHF129/BRHF64

vs. what I spec'd

Quote
    Caliper
    Motorcraft FR BRCF292
    Motorcraft FL BRCF293

    Rotor
MOTORCRAFT BRRF112 or MOTORCRAFT BRR252 or RAYBESTOS 680982

    Pads
    RAYBESTOS PGD1611C or MOTORCRAFT BR1611

    Caliper Bracket
    R&L DG1Z2B292A

    Dust Shield
    FL DG1Z2K005A
    FR DG1Z2K004A

    Possible stainless brake line
    Goodridge 12348 Brake Line

Now my questions lie in the calipers and brackets...The brackets I found off the Ford parts website don't spec a different caliper bracket between right and left...just the one...And the OP specs different calipers...but it seems those are only on the SHO, and the Flex, Explorer, and Police Interceptor utility all use the calipers I spec'd. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Thanks...as it's a daily, I want to keep the parts fairly stock...Motorcraft or OEM standard...rather not get into the higher end sport pads and rotors...when I get my "toy" that'll be a different story...

Primalzer, all those part #s are what I ordered from RockAuto and are on my car, so I can guarantee they work.  I know there were other part numbers for what seemed to be the same parts.

I believe those use the same brakes.  I know it will work with the Explorer.
