I have a 2010 non PP that needs new rotors and pads. I'm looking for a slight upgrade over stock as long as the price is reasonable. Someone on Facebook suggested Brakemotive on eBay and I found these: http://m.ebay.com/itm/FRONT-REAR-KIT-DRILLED-SLOTTED-BRAKE-ROTORS-AND-CERAMIC-PADS-2010-Taurus-SHO-/391592245982?nav=SEARCH but they specifically say PP only? What's the difference and why can't I use them on a non PP? Anyone have any other suggestions? TIA

I had a feeling the price was too good to be true. It seems like everyone here is on EBC rotors and pads. Any specific ones?

Ive used blue stuff ndx and they are a race and street pad and we're awesome but they dont make them for you i dont think...i waited on a yellow stuff pad which are aggressive and EBC never released them...so i got red stuff which should be pretty good but sadly i never got to try them and they are cerrently for sale but i dont think they will work for you as they were for a 14' pp

You could take a look at these guys: http://brakeperformance.com/

Some of their rotor options come with a lifetime warranty against warping and cracking.

I've not used them, however, I was going to order the slotted/dimpled rotors and and EBC Yellow Stuff pads for my XSport, but I'm holding off until Black Friday/Cyber Monday to see if they offer any additional discounts (because I'm cheap). Seems like they have a continuous 25-35% off sale going.

Blank high carbon rotors + ebc yellowstuff should work well.  Check out AutoZone Duralast Gold, or Stoptech offerings for rotors.  Disc Italia also makes nice rotors.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Sounds like a great time to do a 2013 full brake swap.

That's exactly what I was going to recommend!  With the decent price and high quality of the factory '13+ PP parts, it's hard to go wrong.  Before core charge the calipers cost me about $40/ea.  Add factory rotors and pads and you have a huge upgrade for a '10-'12 car without a huge price tag.
