I will let Z chime in on actual GPS install/lock pick install, but from the research I did related to the lock pick, it looks fairly simple.
I had my dash torn apart for my gauge install, in order to cleanly route my wiring, and tap the 12v ACC power and ground from the car charger port. Actual dis-assembly/re-assembly was pretty straight forward.

Placed all components on a soft cloth, and used caution/care not to break anything. IMO you can not tell I had anything apart. Hardest part IMO was keeping from loosing any of the screws.
