Given the conditions I decided to leave the nannies on. The event was also at a new venue, and I haven't had a lot of time on it. Were it dry, my intent was to drive it in all 3 modes (on, sport, and off), to see how it reacted at the limit for each. Seeing as it was raining, and there were substantial puddles forming, I opted for a more conservative approach (esp. after the Mustang took out the guard rail).
