Has anyone tried that tire size on a sho?????   I'm not home to Check the gap between tire and suspension.  Seems to be about 3/4 inch taller. So need about 1/2 inch of clearance.   Thanks

I have not seen anybody yet. And it is only .19in wider than stock. but should fix with no problem. 275x40x20 do and are 1.2in wider than stock. Check the # out at http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/infoTireMath.do

Thanks sho man.  I checked them versus stock size but not against other known tires sizes that fit.

You welcome. I'm down here in the south so I don't need winter tires so I have set for DD(245X40X20) and track (275x40x20) tires because that added 1.20 inch to put just a little more rubber to the ground at the drag strip/auto-cross.

would you use the 275s as a DD tire?

if not, why not?

YES , If you have one set of tires. NO ,If your have two set. Why. The 275 are more $$$ per tire if you rip one in DD , They are heavier  you may lose a little gas mileage. and lastly you don't need that extra traction everyday driving. So YES if you have  money for just one set.

Old thread, but I'm curious if anyone has done this size since then?  I've got some tires in mind that come in this size, but not the stock 245/45/20 or 255/45/20.

Any fitment or rubbing issues?
