I'm all about Lenovo's.  I switched to them many many years ago as a business class machine and never looked back.  This would make a great little data logger for the price.  Doesn't have a lot of processing power, but a little more memory and it already has a SSD...should be decent.

I have personally put hands on the X1's and they are ridiculously nice.  So if you're up to drop a little coin for a crazy good laptop take a gander at the one lined above.
