I believe it was darreli's SHO ... also had that custom throttle body on it.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Was your mustang a stick?...and if you  had an automatic did you have a high stall converter?

Auto and yes I had a 3800 stall converter on it.

I tried a 2 step on my V with stock converter with horrible results, can't imagine it would be much better with the SHO.
I asked JMS if they were going to develop a transbrake for the SHO like the F150/Mustang and they said no - that would have helped a TON.

It was Darreli who had the Circle D converter in his SHO.

It didn't do jack for him. Even after retuning, his car was still .3-.4 SLOWER.

Darrell did not have the larger throttle body, it was FirstSHO Mike that had it in his.

That also didn't provide any benefits either.

4500 RPM will not help with stock converter...
I would imagine the second you have boost on the stock converter you're going to push through the brakes like I did.

Example of an auto on 2 step - they're having issues with the converter but basically same thing I'll be doing with my V:

two step = stick
high stall TQ CV = auto.

You get that cool back fire with two-step, but you're cutting the ignition to the motor and really putting stress on your bearings (And crank if not racing bearings). I don't have on my 700hp G35, but that's mainly because I don't drag it. If I did, I would (but then I'd use it at car shows and burn through bearings)

You put a high stall on these stock turbos, you're doing it wrong.
Tune + Exhaust and enjoy. If you want to launch, hit the break and gas till 2k, then let go of the brake.

EDIT: Just watched above video. Definitely do that if you're running 500+ HP on an auto. I couldn't imagine doing that though lol

Trans brake would be a better option with an automatic car.

I had a two step in my 90' when I drag raced it.  Funny part was, I was more consistent doing on my own off of feel rather than setting a specific RPM every time.
