Any updates for an updated AWD yet?

Topic has been quiet for awhile. Just pinging to see if there are any updates or anything coming down the pipe as far as AWD goes? I'm a little timid to start upgrading the SHO until the AWD can keep up with it. (I like turning, but going down a straight line is fun too)

You're safe with mods so far, nobody has broken their AWD with up to 500WHP. It's only nutty guys like me that are researching for future mods. :)

I'm not worrying about breaking it, I'm worried about toying with the seemingly perfect handling that the stock set up delivers by placing more power to the front.

If the SHO has a 150 lbs limit on the rear, even a tune will start grabbing my attention.

As it sits, I can powerslide that monster of a car with about 3 lanes of play.

Also, that's pretty much how I daily drive without my children in the car. :D

How are you powersliding it? I have the same exactly car and it's a pita to get it to powerslide. I tried to make it drift the other day and I damn near killed myself. It doesn't seem to want to slide when I power through like a RWD car.

My successes have been on left turns. Crank the wheel to purposely oversteer and mash the throttle about 1/8 into the turn. As soon as you feel the ass start to give, steer the opposite direction and ride it out.

I've gotten 3 beautiful well glided turns out of it. Embarrassed to mention my number of failures. One of them which ended up me loosing control and fishtailing until I stopped trying to save it.

I started laughing when I read that.

I'm gonna give a shot.

Since I have a non-PP i can't disable the nanny but a month or so ago I was able to drift it even with the TCS on... no idea what happened there but nanny was sleeping. The pavement was a little damp and it was cold.

I tried to get it to slide the other day when it was raining out (super smart I know)...but I couldn't get it to lose traction.  It just pinned me in the seat and took off like a rocket.

I only tried it once.  I'll probably try it again once I get my methanol kit installed and new tune flashed to it.

Im worried that more power to the front only will stop my fun.

What mode do you place it on to do it? Traction Control off or Advane sport mode?
